Key Responsibilities: - Provide administrative and classroom assistance to support the effective delivery of pre-planned lessons. - Ensure the safe use of equipment appropriate for the activity and age group. - Assist in the supervision of children and in the preparation of classroom activities. - Organize, maintain, and prepare teaching resources for lessons. - Support a purposeful learning environment in line with curriculum planning. - Utilize agreed strategies to help students reach learning targets. - Monitor and record students' progress and achievements. - Promote positive behavior and manage minor incidents in accordance with school policy. - Assist with the display of pupils' work and support them in changing for PE and swimming. - Accompany students to the medical room if required. - Attend meetings, training sessions, and participate in the overall work of the school. - Contribute to residential trips and extracurricular programs. Person Specification: Essential: - Commitment to school ethos and values. - Knowledge of the National Curriculum and understanding of safeguarding protocols. - Experience working with KS1 or KS2 pupils. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively and prioritize tasks effectively. - Passionate and resilient with a positive attitude. - IT literacy and outstanding organizational skills. Desirable: - Knowledge of phonics and experience in an independent school.
